THE GOOD:
The app lets you choose from a broad selection of topics to learn new facts and debunk common myths. To test you, the app shows you a statement, and you must decide whether it is true or false. Once you respond, you’ll receive the real answer and an explanation behind each fact. It’s easy to browse the alphabetical list of topics and fun to test your knowledge. You can also choose “Random” if you don’t have a specific category in mind.
THE BAD:
Unless you upgrade to the full version, you’ll only be able to access three true/false questions per category. That limitation shortens the useful life of the program. The utility of the app is also limited by the lack of a search function. Because you can’t search for specific facts by keyword, you can’t specifically try to improve your knowledge of a certain subject.
THE BOTTOM LINE:
There is a lot of interesting information here. If nothing else, you can learn some new facts and get some solid details to back it up. You might go through the information in the free version pretty quickly, so upgrade to the paid application ($.99) if you want to learn mpre.
