Toy Physics

THE DESCRIPTION:
Toy Physics is a challenging game in which the player must draw lines on the screen to direct toys into crates as they drop through different puzzles.

THE GOOD:
From the opening screen with the old carnival style music, this app took me by surprise. Most games are easy to beat and have limited replay value. Toy Physics is addicting and provides numerous challenges in each level, with 3 difficulties to master. The game’s music is catchy and enjoyable, but the application also allows you to listen to your own music while you play. The graphics are festive as well as eye-pleasing and the gameplay is easy to learn but hard to master.

THE BAD:
Given the multi-touch capability of the device, the game cannot tell an incidental line tap from an accidental tap. As a result, you need to be careful or else your lines will disappear. There is no easy mode, which could discourage people who cannot complete levels on normal difficulty.

THE BOTTOM LINE:
For people not willing to spend $1.99, there is a limited lite version. This game is a must-have and Athos has definitely proved itself to be capable of making good apps for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. Toy Physics is challenging, fun, and above all, addicting—it will keep iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad owners entertained for hours.
