The Good:
To use this iPhone application version of the popular website, you simply create an account (if you do not already have one) by providing a small amount of information including your e-mail address and birth year. It only takes a few seconds to begin enjoying your musical journey. Pandora first plays a song by the artist you choose, and then proceeds to choose similar artists based on parameters relating to genre and the sound of the band. Pandora keeps track of all the songs that have been played so at any given time you can look back and find out information about songs that you enjoyed. Also biographies of each band are provided to give the user a more in depth knowledge of the backgrounds of the bands.
The Bad:
It is difficult to find any downside to this incredibly enjoyable and useful tool. If there is any downside it may be that it is difficult to hear more than one song in a row by a band that you find to suit your taste. However part of the point of this tool is to expose people to new artists and get them to pursue their music in other ways such as actually purchasing albums or concert tickets.

All around, Pandora is a genuinely useful and successful tool for avid music fans. With almost no effort whatsoever you can instantly broaden your musical horizons with a few clicks of your iPhone screen.
