Fling!

The Description:
Fling is a fun and furry puzzle game.  Each puzzle board starts with a group of different colored “furballs” on the playing board.  The playing board consists of a square grid work on a field of grass.  In order to solve each level, the goal is to remove all but one of the furballs.  To get furballs off the board, tap a furball and “fling” it either vertically or horizontally at another furball (you cannot fling one furball at another that is directly touching it).

The Good:
Fling is a fun and entertaining puzzle game that, despite its seemingly simple premise, forces you to think ahead multiple moves in a similar way to chess.  In “free play” mode, you are allowed to complete each puzzle at your own pace without a time limit.  Within each different difficulty level are multiple puzzles.  Solve each set of puzzles to get to the next difficulty level.  Also try the time challenge mode of play, which makes you solve a certain number of puzzles within a time limit.  Once you get the hang of the way you have to think to be successful at the game, it starts to become quite addictive.  The little furballs are cute and fun to fling around, and the music sets the scene in a magical and fantastical way.

The Bad:
For most of the puzzles you have to plan out all of your moves before you make your first.  One wrong move and you are stuck having to start your game over.  This can sometimes be frustrating, but it is the nature of the game.

The Bottom Line:
This application is sure to please most puzzle-lovers.  All aspects of the game are well done and come together to make a cohesive and immersive puzzle fantasy-land.  With quite a large selection of levels, this game will give many hours of entertainment if you enjoy the core gameplay.
